When we notice how the sail is set (our current pattern), something calls us to shift the tiller or ease the sail to create a different shape. In so doing, we move in a different direction.
The relationship between sail and wind is synonymous. In fact, the sail doesn't really catch the wind at all. It passes through.
In continuous navigation, like the wind, we let be, let go and let come.
There is movement. There is shape. There is direction. Each degree is precious.
We don’t need to view the sail or the current pattern as wrong. When the sail was first set, it most likely suited prevailing conditions. Conditions today require a shift in shape and direction — a shift in thinking.
Through the power of our noticing, we intuitively and naturally recognise we need to make adjustments.
Our inner navigator reads the waves, the wind, and the water. We trust the inkling to shift direction. Choice follows awareness.
Through self-agency, we catch our pattern.
Attuned, we work with the whole in mind. We read the play from our wholeness for our wholeness. The revelation that consistently comes when we ease the sails is that we also feel the easing within ourselves.
We choose the Way of the Pattern Catcher. We follow the breeze. We find ease. We notice. We name. We nurture.
